It might not be the Oscars, but we’re feeling pretty proud of ourselves as the FPS ‘virtual mantlepiece’ features invitations to multiple industry events where we are awards finalists, for our fleet management partnership projects with UK retail giant, John Lewis.
We are delighted to be into double digits with a total (so far) of 10 award nominations across clean transport innovation, strategy and delivery.
FPS supports some of the UK’s highest profile fleets with electrification, providing proprietary software and hardware solutions based on cutting edge data science, power electronics and operational expertise. Our technical solutions reduce risk and cost enabling our customers to scale their decarbonisation plans more quickly.
Projects include a UK first demonstration of high-powered wireless charging on vans for Waitrose; delivering a hybrid charging solution for the John Lewis Partnership Home Services Fleet; and working with Sainsbury’s to design a programme to decarbonise the entire commercial vehicle fleet including the HGV operation whilst overcoming electrical infrastructure cost barriers.
‘Sustainability has always been at the heart of why we started Flexible Power Systems and our combination of software and hardware solutions puts us in a unique position to support fleets as they transition to net zero,’ said FPS managing director Michael Ayres.
‘We’re especially pleased to have made several successful joint submissions with the John Lewis Partnership, with whom we‘ve been nominated for their ecomm and home services decarbonisation programmes with our EV infrastructure and fleet management toolset.
‘Our work would not have been possible without funding by the UK Government’s Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) delivered in partnership with Innovate UK, to whom we are very grateful,’ Michael added.
